I'm gonna ramble so much here but, Id say this series is soooooo beautiful, the cinematography is at PEAK, one thing I was thinking through out this drama is " glimpse of us" by joji, ugh I love everything abt this series except that kazu is a cheater, but tbh I get him, imagine having someone else heart and carrying their memories that's mostly of his lover,he's just confused and trying to understand himself to whether its his feelings or yuseke's , Miki, she's so strong. I cried every time there's a flashback of yusuke with saeko, especially the one where he and saeko were by the beach. Maybe, just maybe if he was still alive, lowk pissed off how kazu and saeko kissed cuz man😭😭 still they are both trying to understand that situation, despite knowing he has a wife lowk turned me off. But anyw towards the end I was sure knowing what's gonna happen, well at least kuzu died with yusuke's heart peacefully. I need another story like this but with no cheating cuz that's so unnecessary, anyw IN ANOTHER LIFE maybe saeko and yusuke get to live in their blue painted house, brewing coffee together T-T

This show was good, there is no real wrong or right answer. It wasn’t the Naruse’s fault for having 2 people in his heart. His heart transplant changed him unexpectedly, which lead to his feelings countering each other and causing confusion in his mind. I really like the FL’s personality and she made me realize how you could have such a strong passion for niche interests, like coffee. Idk I just like Kentaro Sakaguchi.

being at a farm in Hawaii would 100% heal me
fav parts were with Hiro san, asking Kengo for advice, and the piano melody revelation:>
I want to point out how strong of a character Miki is in the series. I didn't like the relationship Saeko and Naruse had despite their fate and connection to Yusuke, it was just so wrong esp since Naruse is married.
I think it would've been better if they had a platonic relationship rather than romantic just because Yusuke's heart is in him. They had genuine good conversations and interactions, the romantic tension did not have to go that hard just for him to lose Yusuke's memories bro
I understood their emotions towards their odd relationship but bro they should've put a boundary knowing damn well he's married
it's overall a nice drama, but I DID NOT like the romantic tension between the donor's lover and patient T-T lost me at episode 7, I'm afraid!!!! the bear was unnecessarily funny

さよならのつつき isn't a Romance Drama, it's a grieving drama. Having to deal with the sudden death of your lover is absolutely heartbreaking, it's even more heartbreaking when their memories start to come back in the form of a completely different person.
The narrative within the first 2/3 of the drama are absolutely peak, but around EP 7 I felt a little disappointed into where the narrative was heading. But I felt like it rebounded relatively well to conclude the story.
The shots are just absolutely beautiful to look at. Every single shot is closely constructed and colored absolutely perfectly. The Hawaii shots of Hiro's farm were easily my favorites. There would be shots where Saeko's hair looked so beautiful with the bright blue Hawaii sky and the bountiful green of Hiro's farm.
Kasumi's performance in this Drama absolutely does it for me. She does a stellar job at portraying Saeko to a tee as she had the most enjoyable role in this series.
