Y’all about to piss me off. So incredibly tone deaf. Made with such a lack of empathy and poor understanding of what schizophrenia and related disorders are. Could’ve been an intimate, informative portrait of a family’s struggle with trauma and mental illness, but is just as exploitative and trashy as most true crime documentaries. The glass shatter/horror movie music playing every time something upsetting is said is so ass. When they edited whispering noises over the interviews with family members diagnosed w schizophrenia??!! BFFR

i think i would like it more if they discussed thoroughly what's the gene that's making them schizophrenic and a lot of stigmatization in the docuseries... its a great topic but poor presentation

the editing team did the most and ruined the vibe. also i wish they gave the schizophrenic brothers more screen time

The editing was absolutely terrible and tone deaf but as someone who has a schizophrenic Aunt, The story really hit home and I feel for Mary. She, like her mom has poured herself into helping her brothers with everything even though she suffered immense trauma and could easily leave them behind.
