I was 7 when Katrina happened and I remember it being talked about in detail in my community in California that would latter be engulfed in flames in the paradise fires and sense then I’ve had a deep love for the people of NOLA, even had the privilege of going in 2015 and working on some of the homes recovered in Katrina and took my niece in march to the museums in NOLA that showed some of what happened but this documentary did a fantastic job of going threw the abandonment by the government, how it was politicized and how people got involved for a good star and then turned their backs on them. The people of NOLA are such high spirited, artful and kind people.
