And to say that racism hasn’t existed since the early 1900’s, you would have to be the most ignorant person ever to believe that was true. They failed those people, these victims of a catastrophic disaster from nature and the man. We as a country have never supported black people and it shows through our systems, infrastructure, and “leaders”. Every single white person or government official that perpetuated violence during this time of crisis should be in jail for the rest of their life.

Fucking hate that government, what they didn't told yet is how much help other countries offered but were almost all declined by Bush. Swedish aid planes not allowed to land because they didn't ask for it.. Dutch levee reconstruction experts to fix the water problem and rescue teams being sent away. Thailand, having only one year earlier suffered through that massive tsunami, offered doctors and nurses. Italy's shipments of medical supplies were left to spoil in the elements for weeks until they were destroyed without ever being used- And of course Mexico always ready to rescue people.. Help from 100+ countries, they did not want it. Luckily they didn't listen and still went in to help people without them knowing until later but what the fuck is wrong with them. Fuck that big ego from the United States.

cant believe the government cared more about property than helping people get food, water, and safety to leave
