In early 1900s London, a young Japanese woman enrolls in a famous art school, only to be surprised when rivalry with a gifted classmate becomes romance.
Pretty freaking good. Very beautiful animation and art styles as well as unique character designs. I love that it’s a completed story. The romance and characters as a whole get a gold star from me. It was a pretty good slow burn but not the best I have seen before. There could have been more pining shown. I do wish there wasn’t the 6-7 year time skip for the last episodes. It could’ve been way a way shorter amount of time and still give the same effect. I also just wish the ending was longer in general. Like the first 18 episodes were pretty spread out and well paced but then those last 2 episodes felt cut short and lacking for a conclusion. It could have used one more episode.

"I'll take you there one day, don't forget the blue paint."
* Oh*, her life turned black and white without Kit, and the way his blue paint was the only one that showed.. he was her everything, isn't he?
Anyway, I almost lost my patience when she took a very long time to confessed her feelings. Like girl... spit it out already!
Oh! And Shin, he's so gentleman and sweet. They way he took Kit's words for taking care of Lili seriously, and almost letting his dreams go to marrying her means everything for me. He's so sincere, oh my sweet boy T_T.

I’ll take you there one day. Don’t forget the blue paint.
I have so much to say about this anime—i love every inch of this, but I’m afraid words aren’t enough to express how good it is. And oh, to be loved by Kit Church.
The friendships they’ve built along the way, the hardships they faced, the bonding, the slowburn… this is what anime is truly about. And fawk, I wish I had my own Kit Church.
