Spent the past week making my way through this gigantic work, and I find myself at the other end exhausted, bewildered, confused, overwhelmed, compelled, and fascinated. This is a task and half to get through especially when not really knowing where it's going, and after that final episode I'm not evenly entirely sure where it went. The epilogue here is appropiately compared to the ending of Evangelion, and that's probably the last time I've experienced this feeling before. You really have to power through to get to that point, the characters are interesting but by certainly not likable mostly. I don't really know how I feel at the end of this, let alone what I make of it, but there's certainly not much else like this and is probably Fassbinder's magnum opus. I really need to watch something lighter after this...
