the best anime ever. this show is an absolute masterpiece, there is not one bad arc and it’s rewatchability is unmatched. the character development is so facinating and you really get to see how and why they change. it also has arguably one of the best power systems in all of anime. it is complex and allows for great diversity between characters, inherently creating super interesting fight matchups and balances. also Gon and Killua and basically all main chapters are not OP. they aren’t just the strongest person in the uni and don’t instantly desiccate enemies. the show isn’t predictable in that way, they lose like all the time and it just makes you want to cheer them on even more. they often focus on stratagy and are clever when they need to be. also the relationship built between gon and killua is the best friendship in anything i’ve ever watched. they are inseparable and grow through each other and their bond is really what makes this show for me. it is constantly conveying the theme that any and everything is better with a friend.
