I've been watching this on and off the past couple months. Between the massive enormity of the documentary itself combined with the state of the world and the obvious and not-so-obvious connecting threads between the two eras, encouraging myself to watch another episode took a lot of convincing. I'm sure there are a ton of flaws you can point to if these top Letterboxd reviews are anything to go by, I've come to expect that kind of dissent from Ken Burns documentaries at the end of the day, but honestly there's not much I can say except that I found this quite an overwhelming but absolutely terrific documentary.
