an underrated GEM.
it doesn’t shy away from heavy themes at all. i absolutely love how each episode is a whole different story. the writing is awesome, every character’s choices, regrets, everything about them feels very real. the episodes don’t feel repetitive and boring to me, because between just the games, we also get a deeper look into the arbiters and how they understand human emotions and judgement, especially Decim. speaking of characters… Chiyuki is my favorite, i understand her so much.
the best episodes for me were “Memento Mori” showing emotions through the visuals was so beautiful. and “Death Counter” i was completely shocked with the twist.
i wish more people talked about this. amazing animation, amazing characters, amazing writing, amazing opening theme.
