Another one bites the dust. It is now a rarity that a series actually ends well. You hardly ever see it no matter how good the show is and unfortunately Stranger things is no exception. Overall the show still deserves a high rating. The characters are great and the story is very strong for a long time until the last season where things get a little too strange. The beauty of this show at the beginning was that the monsters and more specifically the mind flayer were unknowable. They could be identified but were always mysterious. That kind of died in season 4 when the show got less eerie and more action oriented. Season 4 was still very good but by that point you felt like “the things” couldn’t get stranger because the addition of Vecna revealed more than what the audience needed to know. The show tackled too many ideas at once and I found myself missing the simplicity of season 1. This issue only increased from there and Im not even gonna get into the many issues with the finally because I will be typing all day. I guess at this point I just don’t understand why it’s so hard to end a series. Especially when it has had so many good seasons up until that point. We know you can write good content, so just do it one more time. Apparently thats too much to ask these days.

The earlier seasons were definitely better, I think the last episode is ight, could’ve been better, could’ve been worse. It’s not super conclusive with elevens story but it’s whatever. The last season left a lot to be desired, also the military being in it was kind of weird and almost out of place.
