Watchmen 2019:
People who say that the show is just some woke bs aren't really smart. The things in the show would most likely have happened in the Watchmen world and some of it does absolutely feel like it was made by Moore even though it wasn't. Sure somethings felt more performative than not, but if we allow ourselves to be open minded, there's truly goodness within the story.
Two things I like is how they expand the idea of masked vigilantes working for the government. The air of mystery and the lore behind it are pretty fascinating

Kinda baffled by how overwhelmingly positive these reviews are. While this certainly has some of the components of a great miniseries, I wouldn’t say it aggregates to anything that comes near that.

After looking into Watchmen after the fact, I would concede that having some prior context of the comic would have added significant watch value. Even so, I found this largely unsatisfying and borderline unforgivable in some of the writing choices that ultimately result in a pretty hollow conclusion. I realize that was a pretty vague statement.
