I honestly didn’t expect Wanderlust to go that deep after just the first couple of episodes. What began as a story about an open marriage turned into a layered exploration of grief, emotional avoidance, and the desperate ways people try to feel something again.
The struggles in their marriage felt so natural, like something that could happen to anyone. Nothing felt staged or overacted, it was all full of quiet wounds and unspoken pain.
Toni Collette’s great performance just holds the series together. I was also really glad to see Zawe Ashton and Emma D’Arcy on screen, even with limited screen time.
