Episode 1: Chimpanzee (29th June 2019)
I Love the opening shot of the Chimp's face. Difficult not to relate it to the start of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes though I would say that works in the episode's favour. So incredible how the filmmakers are able to humanise these creatures and get us to sympathise with them. David's redemption ark is the best around.
Episode 2: Emperor (30th June 2019)
The barren landscape and the strange looking things that resemble birds (but act like humans) cement this episode firmly in the realms of science fiction. The masterful cinematographers captured every hardship and domestic perfectly. Shame though, the Penguins don't surf, sing or dance.
