I'm not usually a fan of TV shows, I don't know why, but I really enjoyed watching this show. The slow pace but great plot really was something else, and it felt like a documentary from how realistic the performances were. I really only watched cause Damien Chazelle directed the first 2 episodes, but I still would've enjoyed this either way. I felt that there were some minor plot holes with the crime side of this show, but everything else was just so good that it didn't matter. Was sceptical after the episodes got weaker as they went along, but the finale was very well done.

A year and a half passed between me watching the first episode and the last episode of this series which almost dares you to lose interest with its low energy cast and sparse narrative. The Chazelle episodes have some thrilling performance sequences and Amandla is as charismatic as always but I don't watch boring french crime dramas for good reason and I don't appreciate that there was one covertly buried inside this. The Andre Holland leading man experiment, of which I was early proponent, has sadly failed.

Took way too long to captivate me, but it was enjoyable through the most of it. The tone and cast is amazing, but it is incredibly slow at times.
