It's a celebration of the decades of films about conning and heist, and only use anime as a mere storytelling media and does not abuse the fact that it is an anime.
In actuality, I have a hunch that it would work, if not greater, if it was a live action series, manly because Laurent is just a French Brad Pitt in my imagination.
At the beginning, I thought it was just a graphic comedic series about con artists, but as the story continues, it exceeds expectations and evolves into something emotional and heartfelt, tge stories become human and more greatly painful.
I wouldn't say it's a top ten anime oat, but I'll say that it's a must watch
