Last time I watched this was basically right before I worked there and uhh this is a very different experience after working there. I wish I could breeze through uncomfortable topics the way this moves through labor struggles and cultural criticism.

Crazy how the making of the “happiest place on earth” was viewed in my most exhausting and stressful times of the year. I’ve been wanting to watch this when it first came out. This was the first docu series that I genuinely wanted to watch on my own.
Out of everything from this company, the parks are my favourite part. Its childhood perfection that never gets old. I’ve been lucky to have gone to these parks multiple times in my life. The last time I went to Disneyland in Anaheim was five years ago during Halloween time with all the Halloween themed decors. This was a spontaneous LA weekend trip I had when it was my first semester in university and hs senior grad gift.
No matter how many trips and places I’ve been to, I will always remember my summer trip to Orlando when I was 15. Part of the reason why summer 2016 is superior. One of the most memorable, if not THE most memorable trip. The peak of joy for a whole week. I am more of a “traveller” than a “vacationer” so this is one of the few vacations I had in my life. This was the first trip I had without a parent. I was with my sister and aunts from LA. My dad booked the trip and had that idea to go to Orlando because he knew my sister and I made it a goal to visit all the other Disney parks. I still need to go to Disney Tokyo and Disney Paris!
ANYWAYSSS great series overall. I always was in awe of the imagineering in the parks. That’s my favourite part of the parks. I love the effort they put into these rides and castles. I love the thought they put into different cultures too. I love the history of Disney parks. You really got a lot out of just one episode. I think the only thing was they could’ve structured the series by park? Or timeline wise? I thought they would just focus on DisneyWorld. There was barely any Disneyland? More on Disney Shanghai, Paris and Hong Kong.
I always knew I would come back to Disneyworld. But I have to give it time. Cannot wait to go with my own family or be part of a joint honeymoon typa thing. Part of my parents’ honeymoon was in Disneyland Anaheim. Before my mom passed away, she wanted to take me to Disneyland/LA as a surprise. The flight was cancelled. I went 4 months after she passed away during the spring break. I remember being a kid spending two weeks in LA. You don’t really need that many days to be in LA btw lol.
I love the Disney parks so much that I literally wrote a speech about it in the tenth grade. In my previous high school speeches, I have mentioned smt Disney related. Anybody in my past life probably heavily only knows this side of me.
DisneyWorld is a MUST for everybody. Perfect for the family. This is a place where you have to go with a group to have the full experience and enjoy it together. We also went to Universal Studios too in case you’re wondering. This was 7 days of pure happiness. The best type of exhaustion from walking and heat all day. From the Mickey waffles to the fireworks.
There would be days I would just watch POV ride videos on YouTube haha!

Undoubtedly propaganda and blatant advertising but I’m just in constant awe of what these guys were able to make and the thought process they put behind it
