Fallen Angels

i finally got this on dvd. my life genuinely feels complete and since i got this on dvd i obviously had to rewatch it at 2am on my grannys big ass tv just after coming back from holiday (it was delivered to my grannys and arrived while i was at holidays for 3 and a half weeks). the dvd i got is actually very high quality like oh my god the quality was amazing for a dvd. i also got chungking express on dvd which imma rewatch again soon and im also excited too see what that's like on dvd. anyway this movie is just easily one of my favourites movies to ever exist, and wong kar wai is just a visionary genius and lighting genius. he's really good at making a romance story too, as shown in, in the mood for love, this movie and even chungking express he can just make a very compelling and even sorrow love story. he's really good at making shit funny aswell, like i've watched this 3 times now and i still laugh at the same scenes every fucking time. the music in this movie is also fantastic and the music choices are just really good aswell, wong kar wai is just one of my favourite directors of all time and i really wanna see more from him like happy together and 2046. the main 4 characters in this movie are so likeable, especially the mute and the assassins partner, i love them 2 so much and i LOVE the actor for the mute. especially in chungking express, he's really good in this but tbf i do like him more in it. i still prefer fallen angels over chungking express by a long mile but i need to rewatch chungking express again too see if i still prefer fallen angels. the cinematography in this movie is just the definition of an internal orgasm and this movie is just overflowing with vibes. watching this at 2am is the best thing ever especially coming back from a really long holiday. amazing movie
