Tokyo Drifter

this is definitely my favourite criterion that i own, just everything about this movie is who i am. i love the jazzy soundtrack, i love the beautiful, stylish cinematography. the pacing is quick and snappy. just everything about this movie is perfect to me, like i do understand if people don't like it due to its overly dense, yet convoluted story but after a rewatch the story is just a good yakuza story, and i love myself a good ass gangster movie. there's definitely flaws with this but it's MY opinion and my god do i love this, recently i've been thinking what my favourite movie and this kept popping up when i thought of all the stuff i liked in a movie so i had to rewatch it after just recently buying the criterion and it just hit me how much i love this. its so easily consumable and just a really fun watch in general, the story may be a little flawed but i just love it so much. the way this movie uses colours is so stylish and unique i've never seen anything like it. i love how the bar fight is just a massive satire on the bar fights in ur average western movie. the soundtrack is incredible and the fact that tetsu sings his own theme song is hilarious yet so cool. i wish movies looked as colourful as this does, rarely does a movie i watch have so much life and colour in its imagery. amazing movie
