Scream

Rewatched to prepare for Scream 7 tomorrow. What about this film can I say that hasn’t been said? Honestly, nothing. Scream is a perfect film all around. How the film opened was astonishing. All of the characters are really interesting, and cool to hang out with. Sidney being given a tragic backstory, and everybody else in the group loving horror movies is awesome. It’s a really smart film, with great jokes. But, when it’s time to get serious, it’s serious. Every kill in this film matters. My favorite being Tatum’s death in the garage. All the talking about horror movies is so fun to watch. Ghostface’s design is classic, and is always trying to be replicated. To be honest, the whole era horror era after this was a knock off. Everything about the film is insanely great, and it’s genuinely flawless. Overall a 5/5 film, and please do yourself a favor and watch it if you haven’t.
