Dune

This was my 14th or 15th time seeing this IN THEATERS and it was legitimately the best viewing yet. I honestly thought that given the time since the hype of release my score would drop just a bit, but nope. Timmothie's acting stands out even more as not so great now though. Couple places the script could be better. And the dialogue being drowned out is a problem. I mean the most important/ iconic line from the book is completely drowned out for God sake. I wish the film did more to explain the things in motion at large because had I not read the book I feel like I'd have so many questions. I know you don't want a film to have too much exposition but damn. Also, the film not including the big dinner scene is a fucking insane disservice. It would've been so amazing to see and it was the thing I was actually most excited to see play out in film after reading the book but oh well :/ The visuals are so fucking insane my god. I forgot just how incredible that aspect of this film was because the last few times I watched it were at home. In IMAX on the lowest row before the lower section of the theater is the perfect place to see this film. It added so much. Denis absolutely did the best he could with such hard source material to adapt to film. It's not a perfect adaptation but it's as good as it gets and having part 2 is about to elevate this even further. I can't wait to be able to watch them back to back. THE SPICE MUST FLOW
