michael mann is literally the goat of action thrillers. thief is by far my favorite mann film, there is just something about this film had me feeling like i was in a trance while watching this. the aesthetic is so fucking beautiful, a visual spectacle, the way mann brings the city to life and just all the intricate details had me feeling some type of way. the performance were solid from everyone. the pacing is perfect, it could not have gotten better than this. the cinematography and score were actually insane. and that final sequence had me in goosebumps.
