Moonlight

“How do I know?” ”You just do… I think.” God, watching this before I knew would’ve been an experience. Truly incredible movie in every factor. The whole cast is impeccable. The cinematography is dreamy and beautiful, just as the whole film. The scene with Older Chiron and his mom hit me so close to the heart, and I just couldn’t help but cry uncontrollably at it. I cried for a whole 4 minutes after, then got hit with Older Kevin and Chiron reuniting, and Trevante Rhodes’ excellent acting reflicting Chiron’s return to his personality as “Little”. There’s been movies where I’ve cried heavy, but this was probably the most visceral cry I’ve had in a long time.
