Vertigo

AFI top 100 Club: Vertigo https://boxd.it/1irsW I can go on and on about how much I love this film it's not my favorite Hitchcock film but it's really close. Can I tell you about the cinematography who can think of a camera movement more iconic than the Dolly Zoom. And the color. The scene at that restaurant place says why Hitchcock is such an amazing director. The entire restaurant is made of red and people wearing blue but the color that stands out the most is the red. Then we see someone wearing green we instantly focus on that because there's no green in the entire restaurant besides the dress and without a single line of dialogue we know what we're supposed to focus on. It's such an amazing scene. And the twist don't even get me started on the twist.
