Watched for the 3rd time in 8 days, so here's some things I love about this movie: Gina Gershon Jennifer Tilly The use of hands The way Corky drinks that Bud Ice in Violet's apartment The Sexual Tension that suffocates the first 20 minutes Joe Pantoliano's accent The unapologetic sexiness Corky's shithole apartment The use of hands How much red gets used in meaningful ways How smart Corky and Violet are The toilet bowl match cut Christopher Meloni as Johnnie Marzzone Caesar cleaning the bloody money bill by bill The side-by-side planning of the heist and it actually playing out on screen The use of hands Lockpick Earrings The framing of the scene when Corky is in the apartment during the heist When the camera follows the phone wire between Violet and Corky Every time Gino Marzzone says "capiche?" Every time Gino Marzzone calls Caesar, Cesare Gino Marzzone The use of hands The way Gino falls to the ground after being shot by Caesar When the bullet flies by Caesar's head during the shootout The accurate counting of six rounds in the gun Caesar's hard of hearing bit for the gunshot cover up How absolutely fucking stupid the Police are depicted When the blood squishes out of the rug that was used to soak it up Chekov's blood pool on the bathroom floor Caesar looking behind a thin painting for 2.176 Million Dollars at Johnnie's house The use of hands When Corky and Violet both touch the wall while on the phone together The redial button zoom The triple threat dynamic between Caesar, Violet, and Corky The use of hands Mickey picking his way into the apartment Violet saving the day at the last second and extorting her way back into the picture I almost forgot to include hiding the money in the paint buckets, but now I didn't Violet calling Mickey back into the picture by playing innocent The incredibly dope misdirection of the shoe print and drops of paint The paint splatter from the gun being kicked through the spilled paint "Caesar, you don't know shit" The accurate counting of six rounds in the gun Blood spraying into the white paint "You know what the difference is between you and me, Violet?" "No." "Me neither" And everything else I forgot to mention this movie is perfect.
