Backrooms

Third viewing - 4DX - this film has such an intriguing atmosphere to it, one that I have been constantly thinking about since Thursday, and only stoked further by the endless tiktoks covering it and also why it’s sucked me in thrice (pause)  I love how every single thing in this is intentional, which rewards you for paying attention (and will bore you if you don’t)  I’ve never felt so pulled in by a film before, it’s impossible to describe and only something liminal spaces can do (if done right) I feel like it’s made for me, because it kind of is. Even though I know obsession is better, I have thought about this film infinitely more times in a shorter time span, now looking forward to when it releases on blu ray in the coming months.
