Phantom Thread

There’s just something wonderful about watching a true master of their craft do their best work. DDL delivers a mature, intelligent, and world-class performance as Reynolds Woodcock, maybe his best of all time. The same goes for PTA, with as many masterpieces under his belt, Phantom Thread stands out as his most gentle and intimate film, while still managing to have the anxiety inducing themes of a PT Anderson flick. This film has a level of class and respect for it’s audience that you don’t see much anymore, the little idiosyncrasies that make these characters tick is what makes this film so special, everyone feels so human and real and truly connected in a story wider than it’s own.
