Scarface

Scarface truly is one of it's kind and arguably the best gangster film ever created. This really films gives top class performances. Scarface has top class flawless emotional performances. Al Pacino does a outstanding job as Tony Montana and is one of my favorite performances in cinema. The atmosphere is amazing. Miami atmosphere gotta be the best ones out there. It's so beautiful with the night sky and the purple coloring. This film is shot so beautifully I can't even describe it with such words. Directing is over the top. Truly amazing by Brian De Palma. It's directed so beautifully it feels like every shot comes within the heart. The directing without a doubt makes this film what it is. Characters are so well written. Tony Montana is such a well done character following with his best friend Manny. Every single character in this is done so well and their deaths have so much depth to it. The deaths in this are done with such shock. Manny's death is a sad and tragic scene which gives Tony's character a emotional downfall. Gina's death also is such a emotional scene where she completely loses it and following after that comes Tony's death. Tony did indeed build his own cage by dying with irony. The man who wanted to world died with nothing. Writing is top class. This film follows such iconic quotes like "The world is yours". The dialouge feels real to the world of the film. It has so many well done scenes the writing just doesn't fail in this film. The ending is by far my favorite part of this film. What I consider to be the best ending or at least top 3 endings in cinema. I've seen it a total of ten times probably and still to this day is just that good. This film shows so well what greed can do to a person and in the end Tony dies by his own hands because of his own selfishness. Scarface is generational that influenced countless different films, games and shows. Everytime I rewatch this masterpiece it never gets old. Click here for my top 50 9.2
