28 Years Later
This movie had no right to be the best of the trilogy but it absolutely was, from the start you’re engrossed in an amazing world that really hooked me, the opening scene is a master class in horror followed by the amazing hunting section with spike and his dad that perfectly set up the world for the second half without feeling like it only existed so the main plot could happen, some things do feel underbaked but I’ll have to reassess this when the entire years later trilogy has come out. The cinematography is odd at points, especially with the shots with the zombies being shot with arrows as well as some things looking a little bit cheap and poorly done, however this movie looks absolutely gorgeous for the most part and is an amazing start to the trilogy that I can’t wait to see continued. The Jimmy Saville cult does have me slightly anxious for bone temple but I will be sat opening day regardless
