Moonlight

Jesus Christ this movie is amazing, there may be movies that tackle the theme of being queer that I prefer but this film absolutely perfects the level of isolation and guilt when it comes to actually facing your identity on a level I have yet to see replicated and I doubt ever will be, this movie is beautiful visually, thematically and audibly. My only faults with this movie is that I wish some characters were given a little more time to shine and that we saw some of what happened between act 2 and 3, however not including that also helps you feel lost and uncertain in Chiron’s life just as he did. Ultimately, this movie shows the isolation of the queer identity masterfully through beautiful visuals and dialogue and my flaws with it are very few and far between except a slight struggle with pacing in the first half of the third act
