I love Perfect Days. Thank you, Wim Wenders, for creating it. I thank you with all my heart. This is one of the most intriguing and immaculate films I have ever seen.
It’s both a sad and beautiful movie. It reminds us to appreciate the small things in life, even the things that feel normal to us. We should appreciate having people around us who care, having a routine, and waking up to a new day every morning because not everyone has that privilege.
Hirayama doesn’t speak at all during the first 30 minutes of the film, and throughout the movie he says very little, yet he conveys so much through his eyes alone. Truly immaculate.
