Superman

“the one thing that liberals and conservatives can finally agree on is that lex luthor sucks.” round two and it hit just as hard if not harder. this film is superman at his most human and genuine. i could nitpick little changes i would do differently but as is, i truly could not have asked for a more cohesive and complete superman project. it captures the heart, fun, and romance of the richard donner original and brings in amazing action sequences and special effects. supergirl: woman of tomorrow can’t come soon enough because i want more krypto and kara asap! go see this film! also peak lex luthor and i particularly was floored during the following monologue that i just had to search it up and place it here in this review: “i’m aware envy consumes my every waking moment. i know when they mention galileo, or einstein, or one of these other twits in the same breath as me, i feel a tight vomit burn in the back of my throat! but at least galileo did something. he wasn't some dopey illusion, catapulted onto this planet, just to have the world fawn over him because his strength illuminates how weak we all really are! my envy is a calling. it is the sole hope for humanity because it is what has driven me to ANNIHILATING YOU."
