You keep dancing with the devil... one day he's gonna follow you home. A film so rich in it’s culture that I am not afraid to admit it made me cry multiple times throughout. It really is mind blowing what Coogler creates in this film. Whether it’s how beautiful his characters are or how rich the film looks or even the beautiful music it’s all just perfect and really is a one of a kind film that is so unique. Everyone in this film is impeccable. Michael B. Jordan is excellent as Smoke and Stack and I just loved their dynamic, Hailee Steinfeld is an absolute godess, Delroy Lindo is one of a kind, Jack O’ Connell is holy shit wow and then a special shoutout to my guy Omar, great stuff from him as usual. All were just brilliant and I could keep going with the rest of the cast and how special they all were. The music in this film is filled with so much culture and I lost count how many times I had goosebumps and felt like I was having an outer body experience. Just so incredibly special. The dialogue between our characters is great and there are so many lines that I feel will become iconic in years to come. Cinematography is of course beautiful but were we expecting anything else with this being shot with IMAX cameras. All around this film feels like a work of art and something that will be remembered for years to come. This means something to me man. Although the vampire stuff is so fucking cool and what we all came here to see, I really was not expecting the rest to be as beautiful as it was. The films can be so scary at times but I could not stop smiling from ear to ear throughout. There are so many scenes that had my jaw hanging on the floor, I was speechless. The emotional beats of this film hit like a tonne of bricks especially the scene where Stack and Mary are talking about their past, that shit had me weeping man. It’s just a one of a kind film that is definitely going to stay with me for a long time. I absolutely adore this and everything about it and will for sure be going to watch it again next week. Sinners reminded me of why I love films so much and why I have made them such a big part of my life. I fucking love films so much.
