Sinners

For a few hours before the sun went down, we were truly free. Rewatching this again in theaters was just a very special experience. I could not stop thinking about the film for the past week and just seeing it again really was just as good if not better than the first time. What’s created here from everyone involved is breathtaking and the amount of times I had goosebumps and felt literal chills was absolutely ridiculous. Sinners reminds me of why I fell in love with films in the first place. It just feels like a one of a kind film and I am so happy with the amount of praise it’s getting because no film deserves it more. A story about honoring where you come from whilst including racial issues, the effect of music and so many other themes throughout. The music really is special and I cannot stop listening to the soundtrack. One of the opening pieces in particular is so so beautiful it actually made me cry. Not the only time I cried that is for sure, I actually lost count in all honesty. The acting then of course all around is unbelievable and nothing else needs to be said. Such an incredible film that I will definitely be watching again this year because I don’t think I will be able to stop talking about it.
