Watcher

One of my favorite films of all time just went very high up my rankings. When I first watched this I was blown away and have no idea why I didn’t give it a five but every day since, this film has stuck in my brain and it’s rare films have that much of an impact on me. It’s my favorite thriller of all time and it has one of my favorite ever lead performances in Maika Monroe as Julia.  Watcher is criminally underrated for what it is. It is filled with so much tension that it makes you left feeling very uncomfortable long after the film is over. The idea of someone constantly watching you is terrifying and so real. Without Maika I don’t think the film would be even near as good but she is arguably the best actress I have seen so she boosts this film to unbelievable levels.  Of course my first watch of this film will always be better because of that pure shock value but watching it again made me value every small detail. Top ten film of all time for me. Maika Monroe in that red dress is the best anyone has ever looked in a film, just saying.
