I've always wanted to live an aimless existence in Bucharest, smoking cigarettes and scaring my neighbors with my hysterics. I promise you I love this film more than anyone else ever could. It means absolutely everything to me and if you know me then you would know I never shut up talking about it. It’s perfect in every single way. Although the shock of the big twist is gone I still enjoy watching it all unfold. It’s actually so terrifying watching Julia moving to a foreign country and not being able to understand anything. Not having subtitles for the foreign bits makes it so much better because you are right there with Julia and it’s a horrible feeling. I really took notice of Karl Glusman this time around, he is so brilliant here too and of course Burn Gorman is outstanding and terrifying. Obviously Maika Monroe is the greatest so she is amazing as usual. Definitely my favorite performance of hers still. I just love this film so much. It’s so thrilling and horrific throughout, will never fail to make my skin crawl. Flows perfectly and you can see how much of an inspiration Hitchcock was to Chloe Okuno. The more I talk about this film the more I smile, might be the greatest film of all time if I am being real. I want you to fucking believe me!
