Weapons

This new age of horror films really is something special. It’s not just horror but drama and comedy mixed in with it which are blended so perfectly. Zach Creggar is a director who needs to stay on your radar because he is truly operating on insane levels. I went into this very blind because I knew that would be for the best so seeing it all unfold was thrilling and having all those stories join up together for an outstanding finale was very rewarding. Seeing horror films crafted with such care and creativity makes me happy. We need this to continue because Weapons is so unique. The film is unsettling and creepy and although it makes you really laugh you always have this bad feeling of what’s to come. I also should have expected there to be grotesque scenes after seeing Barbarian but my god was I peeling my face off watching some of the scenes in Weapons. Every performance is great and there isn’t any that look even slightly out of place. Being able to see Julia Garner, Josh Brolin, Benedict Wong and Alden Ehrenreich all in a horror film together is so incredibly cool. Zach Creggar is 2/2 right now and I will for sure be going to watch this again next week because it was just so brilliant.
