I knew after my first watch of this I had to see it again because I desperately wanted to give it a 5. What Zach Cregger does here is exceptional and he is easily one of the most exciting directors working today. The performances are all perfect and I picked up on so much more this time around which was nice. It’s such an impressive horror film because it blends other genres into it so easily. I loved the non linear storytelling so much more this time around, it is such a bold choice but it works so perfectly. That Alex story hit me like a tonne of bricks this time around. I cried multiple times, I got scared shitless and I laughed my ass off. What an incredible experience. I really love how Weapons isn’t afraid to be silly and gross, such cool shit man. The 2020’s truly have been absolutely brilliant for horror films so far and long may it continue.
