Phantom Thread

i can't really put into words why i love this film so much. of course i can mention the absolutely breathtaking sound design, the most brilliant of scores by greenwood, the sublime charisma of day-lewis, krieps and mansville, the pushed 35mm stock, the utterly unique cinematography, but it's more than just the sum of its brilliant parts. it speaks to me in such an uexplainably personal way, and i can't help but be entranced by its intricately woven spell
