Audition

Even better than remembered! The pacing of this film is very slow but that all adds to make the last 30 mins more impactful. The last act is definitely one of the most intense and well-made acts in horror history, with great cinematography and extreme violence. The storyline is unique and interesting throughout, and when it takes a much darker twist towards the end it is amazingly executed. The acting is also good all around with Eihi Shiina being the standout. Overall, another great film by Takashi Miike and one that is definetly worth checking out. I personally didn't find it to be as disturbing as people say, but it is still highly intense and brutal. Highly recommended!
