that is a crazy ass movie and i don’t know if i would have liked it if i didn’t talk about it for an hour after watching it. the elephant took a shit and i thought “oh, this is where we’re going.” Then the girl pissed on the big dude and i thought “oh This is where we’re going.” and it did. every single character in this movie is so well written and So well acted. brad pitt, however, stood out the most. the last 30 minutes of his character felt so real for what brad pitt might be going through right now. people aren’t flocking to a theatre because brad pitt is in the movie, people are flocking to the theatre because marvel put out another movie into their cinematic universe and it feel weird for him. margot robbie, you are so fine and really good at acting. did not know she was british because she does the boston accent so good. the score, the score, the SCORE. every time the main theme came on i felt a jolt of electricity go into me because of how lively it is. there was one shot that reminded me of phantom thread and it’s the on where the first big party is done and only like 10 people are left and all the balloons are on the floor. i don’t know, it just looked like it so i thought i’d share. diego calva in the last sequence of the movie KILLED it, he did in the rest of the movie but that last part just stood out and sent chills through me. speaking of that last sequence WHAT WAS THAT. damien chazelle had some Demons to get out and he just put it at the end of his craziest movie and it was the craziest part of this over the top movie. and last but not least tobey maguire KILLED IT HOLY SHIT I LOVED EVERY SECOND HE WAS ON SCREEN. except the levels and you know what i mean if you’ve seen it. but that’s not on tobey, he did no wrong and killed it. Please give him more roles hollywood. damien chazelle, you are a mad man and are 3/3. now i need to watch first man to see if you are 4/4.
