Brick

Still one of my favorite noir films in recent. For Rian Johnson’s feature directorial debut the direction is incredible the lighting, the colors, and the cinematography and you can tell that Johnson was inspired by noirs of the past and stated by him Cowboy Bebop which the look compliments. This movie does a wonderful job at keeping you guessing what’ll happen next as it’s filled with Johnson twists and turns that have defined his filmmaking which it keeps working whether it’s murder mysteries or Star Wars Johnson script writing style works incredibly well and it’s interesting to see it’s origins. Brick is a fantastic noir thriller that will forever serve as probably one of the best feature film debuts in recent memory
