maybe one of the greatest pieces of american musical theater. this adaptation is definitely not fully accurate but tbh i don’t really care. it works so spectacularly as a film and is shot perfectly. excellent camera work that effectively utilizes all that the medium has to offer. it’s just spectacular, there’s no other word for it.
