Dune

Waiting to see Part Two in IMAX on my first viewing next week so catching up this weekend. Nothing short of a science fiction masterpiece. Every time I watch this I appreciate it more and more, and having read the book now makes it all the more magical when put into context of Frank Herbert’s otherworldly imagination. The sheer scale of this film is monstrous and absurdly beautiful, a film that should not be possible to make true to the vision but somehow it is. The more I consume this film the more I am convinced that Hans Zimmer is the greatest film composer of all time. A complete sonic world that carries an entire universe on its back, drastically unlike anything else. The most established world in film since Star Wars and an agelessly pioneering vision. Masterpiece. Words can’t describe my excitement for Part Two.
