Interstellar

Second time watching at a cinema. A vast otherworldly vision that serves as a carrier for an innately human story. Whatever your opinion of Nolan, the sheer scale of his vision is spectacular. Visually stunning, perfectly paced and expertly acted across the board from a stellar cast. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve seen this, but every time I appreciate Zimmer’s score a little bit more and it’s always a standout element for me. I examined his score a lot as research for my masters degree project, one of the very best film scores of all time and my favourite piece of film music ever in the No Time For Caution sequence. A masterpiece of science fiction and a masterpiece of film scoring.
