Sinners
"see, white folks, they like the blues just fine. they just don't like the people who make it."
crazy ass triple feature - sinners, leprechaun in the hood and leprechaun: back 2 tha hood.
anyways, 16 oscar noms, get FUCKED reddit and imdb losers!! same people who want to criticize everything about sinners then say from dusk till dawn is an underrated masterpiece… say the quiet part out loud.
sinners is genuinely so perfect it is still overwhelming every time i watch it or think about it. it's beautiful, sexy, emotional, funny and so thematic and filled with history. all the performances, the vampires as a metaphor, it's so fucking good.
"so you rob trains and banks but you can't steal this pussy for a night?"
writing that line down to use later. mary and stack's relationship is so tragic but the ending leaves you on a high note. the relatability of them loving each other so much and that vulnerability making them feel weak is so personal to me.
"i am your way out. this world already left you for dead, won't let you build, won't let you fellowship. we will do just that. together. forever.”
