Spirited Away
I love cinema.
I honestly don’t have much to say about Spirited Away on my first viewing, everyone knows already that it’s a masterpiece. I didn’t think I would like it as much as Grave Of The Fireflies, but I was sorely mistaken. This is the best Ghibli film I’ve seen so far.
Hayao Miyazaki’s masterpiece is a testament to the limitless nature of imagination and the absolute wonder that cinema was built on. I need to see Princess Mononoke as soon as I can because, with his body of work, Miyazaki has cemented his place as one of the world’s most important living creatives and he will, on that sad day, leave behind a legacy of some of the most important cinema ever.
I loved this. One of my favourite animated films of all-time now. Everyone who hasn’t seen this film is doing themselves a disservice by not watching it, and it upsets me to think people will live their whole lives having never seen Spirited Away. Your life is actively made worse by you not watching Spirited Away.
