Logging for season 2 Season 1- 4.5 Season 2- 3.5 While this season was good in its own right with some particularly great performances, it doesn’t really feel like a good successor to the amazing first season. I feel that this season has a little too much going on with the characters especially when it comes to who has “Beef” with who. While the first season was able to have a clear focus on the two protagonists and their relationship, this season doubles the cast and introduces even more side characters than the first season. This causes the whole season to feel super crowded and unfocused. Since every character has their own distinct problems with 3 other characters we can never really get fully invested in any specific story. However, the show still has the same kinda writing that makes the first season really good and while some people have been complaining about the ending, I think that it acts as a fantastic full circle moments that really encapsulates what the season was trying to say about capitalism. So basically it’s a great season of television but not really what I wanted to see from Beef.
