This film was a bomb at the box office when it was released due to the leaks about how bad production of this film was which caused it's failure to be appreciated by the critics at that time, Elaine May even acquired a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Director for this film. Elaine May's film was great and hilarious, it was an ahead of it's time comedy that featured hilarious acting from Academy Award winners Dustin Hoffman and Warren Beatty as the duo Rogers & Clarke, two out-of-work musicians that are thrust into the middle of the Cold War. Charles Grodin's performance as CIA Agent Jim Harrison was probably my favorite supporting comedy role of the 1980's
