Squid Game

Season 2 review (contains spoilers) When i watched the first season of this series, i thought that it was cool show to pass time and have fun, i knew it wasn’t masterpiece or groundbreaking show but i enjoyed it, even though i knew what would’ve happened from the beginning. The main thing that made this show watchable was intense games and relationships between inmates. Deaths and eliminations were emotional because we knew characters and their backgrounds.  I knew that second season would be worse than first one and i didn’t expect much from it. And somehow i was still let down. The main thing that makes this show different was games and it was pushed to a background so much that i forgot i was watching squid game. Whole runtime went into characters having dry dialogues and even after giving that segment THE whole show we still didn’t get close to characters emotionally. People were dying and i couldn’t care less, because there was no chemistry whatsoever. They tried, but failed miserably. Players were chosen weirdly as well. “Thanos” guy was honestly horrendous, annoying and completely unrealistic, nobody had any unique storyline or anything that would make you attached to them. (Transgender person was actually interesting but didn’t have much development or depth) The whole outside investigation parts were just fillers. It didn’t serve any purpose and was there to just pass time. All of the “plot twists” were easily predictable and horribly done. This is getting 5.5/10 solely because of the first season.
