Squid Game
Season 3 (contains major spoilers)

*Season 2 review: *Squid games S2
Considering the second season, I didn't think this one would be any better, and I was right. Every character's conclusion was rushed and really superficial, I had an almost nonexistent connection to any of them. Just like last season, every single twist and ending was easily predictable and foreseeable.
The detective subplot is the most useless piece of garbage I have ever laid my eyes on. Half of the runtime of seasons 2 and 3 was absolutely wasted on a character that contributed nothing to the plot whatsoever.
Games-wise it's an upgrade from the previous season but still lacks the brutality aspect seen in the first season. Truth be told, I kind of enjoyed the bridge rope-skipping scene, it was for sure suspenseful and really dramatic.
Another low point of the show definitely is the writing. The decision making of the characters genuinely boils your blood. 456 had such an easy choice and yet did the stupidest thing imaginable. "But- but- he doesn't want to kill another human." Well, tough shit. It's either that or he and the child get killed, not a hard choice if you ask me. Also, what the fuck was that guy's problem, "I won't be your lunchbox"??? What? If you are going to kill yourself, at least be a decent human being and help out two guys who literally stood up for you and asked for a fair "sacrifice." The ending was weird as well, I had no idea how to feel about it. Aww, it's so cute that they got their life together finally? Like, I DON'T care about those characters one bit, there was not even an ounce of connection between the viewer and the character. That guard subplot was so stupid as well. I get what the director and writers tried to do with emotional backgrounds and stuff, but IN MY OPINION they failed miserably.
VIP scenes are literal porn acting level scenes, I genuinely laughed at how fake and bullshit the acting and writing were.
The ending cliffhanger as well, I mean, it's obvious that they are going to make a spin-off US version, but if you ask me, this should have ended in season 1 and been that iconic murder game show. I have said this multiple times: the first season by no means is a masterpiece, but it was such an innovative, cool concept that was executed somewhat decently. But the second and third instances were absolute garbage.
